Vermont Indexable Tooling’s ZRN (Zirconium Nitride) coated inserts offers the customer high lubricity, improved finish, and resist sticking when used in aluminum, the ZrN coated insert has a higher oxidation temperature then our TiN coated inserts.

V-Coat

Vermont Indexable Tooling’s V-Coat (PVD multi layered coating) coated inserts have excellent wear resistance, thermal shock stability, and hot hardness. The V-Coated inserts are ideal to be used in high temperature hard to machine, gummy materials such as 316L cold rolled stainless steel and Inconel 718.

TiN

Vermont Indexable Tooling’s TiN (Titanium Nitride) coated inserts are an all-around general purpose insert that has a wide range of applicability, including steels, cast irons, and stainless steels.

Vermont Indexable Tooling carries stock inserts for our tools, and has the capabilities to provide a customer with a custom insert if necessary.
